■DESIGNER COMMENT

七角形のレンズシェイプが目を引くセルフレーム。
クラシックな印象になりやすいウェリントン型をベースに、直線的なラインを取り入れて七角形にデザインすることで、モダンな表情に仕上げました。

フロントは横幅をしっかり保ちつつ、ブリッジ幅は広すぎず、裾がやや広がったシルエット。鼻筋に自然な抜け感をつくり、どこかヨーロッパらしい軽やかさを演出します。さらに、角度を細かく調整することで、鼻の低いアジア人の骨格にもフィットしやすく、美しいバランスで掛けられるよう工夫しています。

鼻パッドには、微調整が可能なクリングスタイプを採用。ブリッジ幅はやや広めに設計し、快適な掛け心地を実現しています。レンズサイズも程よく、顔なじみの良い自然なワイド感が特徴です。

テンプルには、サハラ砂漠に暮らす“青の民”トゥアレグ族の伝統的な彫金模様をモチーフにしたメタル装飾をプラス。セルフレームながら、繊細で異国的な雰囲気を纏った一本です。テンプルエンドは厚みを持たせながらも細身に設計し、耳元にも優しくフィット。見た目だけでなく、強度や安定感にもこだわりました。

製造は、国内随一の眼鏡産地・福井県鯖江。

This geometric eyewear features a distinctive seven-sided lens shape—a modern take on the classic Wellington silhouette. By incorporating sharper lines and a unique polygonal form, the frame feels both contemporary and refined.

The front maintains a balanced width, while the bridge is designed not too wide. A slight flare toward the bottom of the frame creates a subtle sense of openness, inspired by European aesthetics. At the same time, the frame angle has been finely tuned to complement lower nose bridges, making it a natural fit for Asian facial features. Adjustable nose pads ensure comfort and a personalized fit, while the overall proportions offer a wide look without overwhelming the face.

A standout detail is the temple design, inspired by traditional metal engraving techniques of the Tuareg people—nomads of the Sahara Desert, known as the “Blue People.” This subtle metal accent adds an artisanal touch to the otherwise minimal acetate frame. The slim temple tips are engineered for a secure yet comfortable fit, offering both style and stability.
