■DESIGNER COMMENT

柔らかなラインのクラウンパント・メタルフレーム。

1960年代のヴィンテージカーのガラスモールからインスパイアされた二重構造のインナーメタルで、通常よりも厚みを増してチタン特有の軽さの中にヴィンテージさながらの繊細さと無骨を表現しました。(＊ATGとWGPのみウィンザーリム仕様）

フィッティングにこだわったオリジナルヒンジとテンプルを製作。
ヒンジには純チタンを使い、ひょうたん型にすることで、顔幅や傾斜角を工具を使うことで微調整できるようにしています。
テンプルにはベータチタンを使い、顔全体を包み込むような柔らかな弾性を持たせながらも、しっかりと耳部分でホールド出来るように、適度に厚みにある滑り止め効果のあるスリットの入ったモダンを制作。
ブリッジも新たに製作し、一山のような柔らかいラインにテンプルと共通のミル打ち彫金を施しています。

通常のテンプルサイズは145mmが基本ですが、AKIRA&SONSでは多くの方に対応できるように、ヒンジを長めに取ることで約５mm長い、トータル150mmに設計しています。
長い場合は、一度モダンを外してテンプルカットすることで約20mmほど短くすることも可能です。

コンセプトである『FIXED WITH BONE』の精神に沿った、眼鏡技術者の腕がしっかりと振るわせるアイウェアがここにあります。

製造は眼鏡製造世界三大産地でもある福井県鯖江の熟練された職人によって１本１本丁寧に作られた世界に誇るジャパンクオリティです。

Crown punt metal frames with soft lines.

Inspired by the glass moldings of 1960s vintage cars, the double-layered inner metal is thicker than usual, expressing vintage-like delicacy and ruggedness in the lightness unique to titanium. (*Windsor rim specification only for ATG and WGP)

Original hinges and temples are made with a special attention to fitting.
The hinges are made of pure titanium and gourd-shaped so that the face width and tilt angle can be fine-tuned by using a tool.
The temples are made of beta titanium, with moderately thick, non-slip slits in the temples so that they can be held firmly at the ears while having a soft elasticity that wraps around the entire face.
The bridge is also newly made, with milled engraving common to the temples on soft lines like a single mountain.

The normal temple size is 145mm, but AKIRA&SONS has designed the temples to be about 5mm longer, 150mm in total, by taking the hinge longer to accommodate many people.
If the temples are too long, they can be shortened by approximately 20mm by removing the modan once and cutting the temples.

In line with the spirit of the "FIXED WITH BONE" concept, here is eyewear that allows the skill of the optician to shine through.

Each pair of eyewear is carefully crafted by skilled craftsmen in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, one of the world's three major eyeglass manufacturing centers, and is of world-class Japanese quality.
