八角形のオクタゴンフレームは、クラシカルな雰囲気を持ちながら、七宝を施されたフロントにインナーチタンを加えることでモダンな印象を与えています。このインナーチタンは、1960年代のヴィンテージカーのガラスモールからインスピレーションを得た二重構造のメタルで、チタン特有の軽さとともに、ヴィンテージ風の繊細さと無骨さを表現しています。ブリッジとテンプルには繊細なミル打ち加工が施され、ジュエリーのような上品なアクセントを添えています。

フィット感を追求したオリジナルのヒンジとテンプルは、細部までこだわりを持って設計されています。ヒンジには純チタンを使用し、ひょうたん型のデザインで、顔幅や傾斜角を工具で微調整できる仕組みを採用。テンプルには弾性に優れたベータチタンを用い、顔に優しくフィットしつつ、耳元ではしっかりとホールドできるように設計されています。さらに、適度な厚みと滑り止め効果を持つスリット入りのモダンも施されています。

標準的なテンプルサイズは145mmですが、AKIRA&SONSではヒンジ部分を長めに設計し、全長を約150mmに調整しています。長さが合わない場合は、モダンを外して約20mmまでテンプルをカットすることが可能です。

The octagonal frame offers a classic feel while the addition of inner titanium to the cloisonné enamel front gives it a modern impression. This inner titanium is a double-layered metal inspired by the glass moldings of 1960s vintage cars, combining the unique lightness of titanium with a vintage-like delicacy and ruggedness. The bridge and temples are accented with intricate milgrain detailing, adding a refined, jewelry-like touch.

The original hinges and temples are meticulously designed with a focus on fit. The hinges, made from pure titanium, feature a gourd-shaped design that allows for fine adjustments to face width and tilt angle using tools. The temples are crafted from beta titanium, offering excellent elasticity that provides a gentle fit on the face while ensuring a secure hold around the ears. Additionally, the temples feature slits for slip resistance and are designed with moderate thickness for added stability.

While the standard temple length is 145mm, AKIRA&SONS has extended the hinge section, adjusting the total length to approximately 150mm. If the temples are too long, they can be shortened by up to 20mm by removing the tips and trimming them.
