■DESIGNER COMMENT

ボリューム感のあるワイドなスクエアフレームが特徴。レンズとフレームの形に少し変化をつけることで、さりげない個性を引き出しています。また、フロント部分や鼻の周りにカットを入れることで、立体感のあるデザインになっています。

クラシックなデザインがベースですが、フレームのサイズは日本人やアジア人の顔にも合いやすいように、少し大きめに作られています。鼻パッドは調整可能なクリングスパッドを採用し、広めのブリッジ幅で快適な掛け心地を実現。レンズが大きく見えすぎず、自然なワイド感を出しています。

デザインには、サハラ砂漠に住む「青の民」と呼ばれるトゥアレグ族の伝統的な彫金技術を取り入れ、テンプル部分にメタルの装飾を施しました。セルフレームながら、繊細な雰囲気を持つカジュアルな仕上がりです。さらに、可動式の鼻パッドで、さまざまな顔の形にフィットします。耳にかかる部分も細めに設計し、しっかりとフィットする構造になっています。丈夫で安定感のある作りにもこだわりました。

These glasses feature a wide, square-shaped frame with a bold design. By subtly altering the shape of the lenses and the frame, they add a touch of individuality. The front and nose areas are also cut to create a sense of depth and dimension, giving the frame a three-dimensional look.

While based on a classic design, the frame is sized larger to fit comfortably on Asian faces. The adjustable nose pads, known as "crings pads," and a wider bridge provide a comfortable fit without making the lenses look overly large. This allows for a natural wide look without appearing too stretched.

For the design, the temples are inspired by the intricate metalwork of the Tuareg people, known as the "Blue People" who live in the Sahara Desert. By combining metal accents with the cell frame, these glasses achieve a balance between casual and refined. Additionally, the adjustable nose pads ensure a comfortable fit for various face shapes. The temples are designed with a narrower section around the ears for a secure and comfortable fit, while thicker material around the hinges enhances durability and stability.

These glasses are meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans in Sabae, Fukui, one of the world's top three eyewear manufacturing regions, showcasing the finest in Japanese craftsmanship.
