"Resurrected Celluloid"
AKIRA & SONS

[Collection Theme]
"Resurrected Celluloid"
Since its launch in 2020, AKIRA & SONS has been producing eyewear primarily from celluloid.
Due to certain circumstances, we were once forced to shift to acetate production, but this season we return to our origins, making it possible once again to produce eyewear in celluloid.
Celluloid is characterized by its unique balance of firmness and flexibility, and above all, the beautiful luster and smooth feel created through handcraft.
Although it is unsuitable for mass production and requires a production background that runs counter to today’s trends, the precise artistry achievable only by skilled craftsmen—not by the latest machinery—brings not only the joy of wearing glasses, but also the joy of owning them.
At AKIRA & SONS, our aim is eyewear that is simple yet embodies true product beauty, combined with practicality.
We design frames that meet the standards of professional opticians and deliver genuine quality.
Please contact the person in charge to make an appointment.
