■DESIGNER COMMENT

1930年代のクラウンパントをベースに、少し垂れたティアドロップの要素を加えたデザイン。

クラウンパント特有の端正な雰囲気を持ちながら、目尻を少し落とすことで、ほどよく力の抜けた表情に。きちんと感はありながら、どこか柔らかく、ナードな空気も感じさせます。

フロント幅はしっかりと確保しつつ、レンズサイズは大きすぎない自然なワイド感に。顔幅のある方でも掛けやすく、顔なじみの良いバランスに仕上げています。

テンプルには、サハラ砂漠に暮らす“青の民”トゥアレグ族の伝統的な彫金模様をモチーフにしたメタル装飾を添えました。さりげない装飾ですが、横顔にほんの少し異国的なニュアンスを加えてくれます。

耳にかかる部分は、厚みを持たせながらも細身に設計。見た目以上に軽やかで、包み込むようなフィット感があります。

広めに設定したブリッジ幅に、微調整ができるクリングスタイプの鼻パッドを組み合わせることで、セルフレームでも重たく感じにくく、快適な掛け心地です。

素材には、タキロン社の国産アセテートを使用。湿度や温度の変化が大きい日本の気候にも適しており、歪みや変形が起こりにくいのが特徴です。艶のある質感も美しく、長く愛用したくなる素材です。

製造は福井県鯖江。熟練の職人が一本ずつ丁寧に仕上げています。

A design based on a 1930s crown panto shape, with a slightly drooping teardrop element added.

While retaining the refined character of a classic crown panto, the slightly lowered outer corners create a softer, more relaxed expression. It feels neat and composed, yet still carries a subtle nerdy mood.

The front width is generously balanced, while the lens size is kept naturally wide without feeling oversized. The result is an easy fit, especially for wider faces, with a shape that feels natural on the face.

The temples are finished with metal detailing inspired by the traditional engraved patterns of the Tuareg people, known as the “Blue People” of the Sahara. The decoration is subtle, but it adds a slight sense of exotic character from the side view.

The temple ends are designed to be slim while still maintaining enough thickness for stability. This creates a fit that feels lighter and softer than it appears.

A wider bridge width is paired with adjustable cling-style nose pads, making the frame feel comfortable and balanced despite being an acetate style.

The frame is made from Takiron acetate, a high-quality Japanese material suited to Japan’s humid climate. It is resistant to warping and deformation caused by heat and moisture, while also offering a beautiful depth of gloss.

Each frame is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans in Sabae, Fukui, Japan.
