■DESIGNER COMMENT

トラッドな空気感を残しながら、少しストリートな感覚で掛けたい。

そんなイメージからデザインしたモデルです。

ベースはアメリカンクラシックを意識したウェリントン。ただ、ベーシックになりすぎないよう、少し吊り上がったラインにしています。

フォックスシェイプまではいかない、そのギリギリのバランスを狙いました。

クラシックなメガネは好きだけど、そろそろ少し違うものを掛けたい。そんな人におすすめしたいシェイプです。

テンプルには、サハラ砂漠に暮らすトゥアレグの伝統的な彫金模様をモチーフにしたメタル装飾を施しました。

耳に掛かる部分は、適度な厚みを持たせながら細身に設計。顔を包み込むようなフィット感を意識しています。

ブリッジはやや広めに設定し、細かな調整ができるクリングスタイプの鼻パッドを採用。掛ける人の骨格に合わせてフィッティングできる仕様です。

製造は福井県鯖江。デザインだけでなく、掛けたときのバランスやフィッティングまで考えながら、一本ずつ丁寧に仕上げています。

I designed this model with a traditional feel, but wanted it to have a slightly more street-inspired attitude.

The shape is based on a classic American Wellington, but with a subtle upsweep to keep it from feeling too basic.

It sits right on the edge of becoming a fox shape, and that balance was exactly what I was aiming for.

It’s a shape I would recommend to anyone who appreciates classic eyewear but is ready for something a little different.

The temples feature metal detailing inspired by the traditional engravings of the Tuareg people of the Sahara.

The temple ends are designed to be slim with just enough thickness, creating a comfortable fit that gently wraps around the head.

The slightly wider bridge is combined with adjustable Cling nose pads, allowing for precise fitting to suit different facial structures.

Made in Sabae, Fukui, Japan. Each frame is carefully finished with attention not only to the design, but also to balance and fit when worn.
